The Challenge

A management consultant with 15 years of niche expertise in supply chain transformation had zero digital presence. She was winning clients entirely through referrals — a great position to be in, until a market slowdown dried up the pipeline in Q3.

She needed visibility fast. Not a vanity metrics exercise — real inbound enquiries from decision-makers at mid-market manufacturers.

The brief: build a repeatable LinkedIn content system she could operate herself in under 90 minutes per week.

Our System

Phase 1 — Positioning and Content Pillars (Weeks 1–2)

Before writing anything, we developed her positioning document:

Who she is for: Operations Directors and COOs at mid-market manufacturers facing margin compression from supply chain inefficiency

Her point of view: Most supply chain consultants sell complexity. She sells the opposite — simplification that compounds over 18 months.

Content pillars:

  1. Supply chain war stories with transferable lessons
  2. Contrarian takes on industry myths and received wisdom
  3. Behind-the-scenes of real transformation projects
  4. Career and mindset content for operations leaders

Phase 2 — Hook Template Library

We built a library of 40 proven hook formats customised to her voice and audience. Examples:

— "I watched a £4m supply chain project fail in 11 days. Here is what nobody tells you..." — "The number one piece of supply chain advice I give every new client — that nobody wants to hear:" — "After 15 years fixing broken supply chains, I have noticed one pattern that explains 80% of failures."

Each hook follows a consistent pattern: specific detail + curiosity gap + implied expertise.

Phase 3 — Content Calendar and Batching System

We designed a three-post-per-week cadence:

Monday: Contrarian take (150–300 words, punchy and direct) — Wednesday: Story-driven case study (400–600 words, narrative arc) — Friday: Tactical tip or framework (list format, immediately actionable)

All content is batched in one 3-hour Sunday session — three weeks of posts drafted at once using a Notion template that pre-fills the hook, body structure, and CTA for each post type.

Phase 4 — Engagement Strategy

Posting is only half the system. We built a daily engagement protocol:

— 20 minutes of intentional commenting on posts from ideal clients and relevant industry voices — Personalised connection requests using a 3-line template (no pitch, just a genuine observation) — Weekly DM follow-up with anyone who commented substantively on her posts

The Results

After 90 days of consistent execution:

MetricStart90 Days
Profile views~180/month~620/month
Followers3401,540
Post impressions~400/post~2,800/post
Inbound enquiries04 qualified leads

One inbound lead from month 3 converted to a six-month retainer worth £42,000.

"I had been avoiding LinkedIn for years because it felt performative and fake. The system Santosh built does not feel fake — it feels like the most efficient version of the conversations I already have in person. I just have them with 200 people at once now."

Key Takeaways

Positioning before posting. She wrote zero words until we knew exactly who she was writing for, what problem she solved, and what she uniquely believed. This is the most skipped step in personal branding.

— The hook library was the single biggest leverage point. A strong hook with an average post outperforms an average hook with an excellent post every time on LinkedIn.

— Consistency compounds harder than quality. Her week-12 posts reached 4× more people than her week-1 posts — the algorithm rewards reliable, returning creators regardless of follower count.

Deliverables

— Positioning document (8 pages) — 40-hook template library — 12-week content calendar — Notion content batching workspace — LinkedIn engagement SOP — Monthly analytics review framework
